"In the end, truth will be found in his work, the corporeal body of the artist.  It will not fall away.  Man cannot judge it.  For art sings of God, and ultimately belongs to Him."  - Patti Smith

God's Conduit...

First and foremost, I create because I believe it's God's mission for my life.  The creative process is never easy and requires me to relinquish control.  I went to art school to be a photographer and never a painter.  God has called me to paint.  So that's what I do.

To Celebrate...

The second part of painting is to celebrate.  By painting with semen, I'm celebrating the lives of men.  Most of the time (but certainly not always) those men are part of the gay community.  As a gay man, I always questioned the idea / concept of "legacy".  If my semen or the semen of other gay men would never be used for procreation, is it rendered useless?  What if the semen is HIV Positive?  These paintings have become a celebration.  These paintings celebrate the beauty, and represent the legacy of often marginalized groups of men.

The Conversation...

The conversations centered around LGBT issues, concerns and rights are still in their infancy on our planet.    May what's represented here on this page give rise to conversation, provoke thought, pose questions and contribute to the forward movement for a community looking for acceptance, love and a place of belonging.
